Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II
for our Medical/Surgical Hospitalist team to extend comprehensive
care and foster a collaborative environment. As part of our
educational healthcare system, this role integrates patient care
with clinical education and research, moving beyond traditional
nursing boundaries. The successful candidate will demonstrate
exceptional clinical skills, a patient-centered approach, and a
drive to contribute to our continually advancing medical community.
Provide direct patient care considering specific conditions and
treatment protocols for individuals within the Medical/Surgical
unit. Develop nursing care plans and maintain accurate medical
records for all patients. Act as an educational resource, mentor
beginner nurses, and contribute to departmental educational
initiatives. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including
physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to
optimize patient outcomes. Participate in research and implement
evidence-based practices in patient care. Strong clinical skills in
a hospital setting, particularly in Medical/Surgical departments.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Highly developed organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in the use of medical technologies and patient care
management systems. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
