to step into the role of a Health Advocate! The Arc, Oneida-Lewis
Chapter seeks to add a Health Advocate to our Nursing Services
Team! Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, the people we
support, families, Residential Services, and nursing. Provide
transportation, healthcare advocacy, follow-up about appointments,
and quality direct support/care to individuals in an Arc residence
on medical appointments. Oneida County Responsibilities: Schedule
appointments as directed for various disciplines, including primary
care, dentist, eye doctor, clinics, laboratory (blood work),
audiologists, and other specialists. Ensure all appointments are
logged in Therap and on the house calendar(s). Complete health care
report information before appointments. Return health care reports
to the IRA, fill out necessary consultation sheets for
appointments, and ensure they are delivered to the proper people.
Follow-up on any medication orders to include posting the
medication and related requirements. ability to lift and carry 50
lbs. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED/CNA licensure. At
least one year of experience working with people with intellectual
and other disabilities preferred Valid NYS Driver's License, with
an acceptable driving record . Ability to attend Arc Oneida-Lewis
Chapters' orientation in its entirety. PAY & PERKS: The pay rate
