As an Electrical Technician, you'll be: Troubleshooting equipment problems. Maintaining an electrical inventory as required. Electrical panel building. Providing support and training as required. Electrical and general equipment installation and planning. Performing preventative maintenance and general repairs. Performing special projects and other duties as directed by the Engineering Manager. Providing rotational on-call support Using Autodesk AutoCAD to: Design system layouts and part modifications. Design mechanical components. Measuring physical dimensions of machinery and creating drawings. Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Identifying system components. Experience with mechanical technology or plastics technology preferred Good oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Familiarity with improvement process systems including identification, planning, implementation and auditing. Proficiency with CMMS. Skill in the use, troubleshooting and modification of programmable logic control (PLC) Computer literacy and ability to operate computer controlled machinery and equipment. Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, mechanical and electrical drawings, engineering designs and specifications, and operating instructions. Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment.
