ExemptSalary Grade: EX04Supervisory Responsibility: NoSUMMARYThe
Systems Administrator has primary oversight responsibility for the
Bank's production Windows and Linux Servers, including the Bank's
Active Directory and Group Policy configurations, applications and
file servers, and SQL Databases. The Systems Administrator works
other members of the IT Administration Team provide oversight of
the Bank's technology environment, troubleshoot advanced issues,
and implement projects and other commitments as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned by supervisor and/or Trustco Bank's Board of
Directors.Performs oversight and maintenance of the Bank's Active
Directory and Group Policy configurations, as well as Windows and
Linux Application servers and SQL databases, and file
servers.Interfaces with third party vendors and service providers
to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and administration of
vendor applications and services used by the Bank.Participates in
troubleshooting of problems and/or issues as they occur, and acts
as a subject matter expert on issues associated with the Bank's
servers, workstations, and/or applications under their
supervision.Interfaces with others on the IT Administration Team on
projects, commitments, and configuration changes which span across
various areas of expertise (i.e., Networking, Security or
Programming, etc.)Interfaces with technicians and other IT Help
Desk employees toAssist departmental management with development of
systems standards, short and long-term goals, project management,
and strategic directions.Analyzes, recommends, and evaluates new
hardware, software, and communications products for network
compatibility and applicability.Develops, maintains and updates a
library of technical documentation.Works with cross-functional
teams in the design and implementation of information technology.
Assists in the training of other information systems personnel to
improve their technical skills.Keeps current on new developments
and techniques in information technology.REQUIRED
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:A bachelor's degree in computer engineering or
equivalent level of education and experience. Excellent knowledge
of IT systems and infrastructure.At least five years of work
experience in all phases of computer operations. Effective verbal
and written communication skills.Well organized with the ability to
manage multiple tasks and work to time sensitive deadlines.Ability
to work well independently and in groups.Working knowledge with
Microsoft Office Programs; Excel and Word. PREFERRED
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Master's degree in computer engineering
related field.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS: This is a full-time
position. Office hours Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm. Evening and
weekend work may be required as job duties demand. TRAVEL: Valid
driver's license required, travel using personal vehicle.
Occasional overnight travel as needed. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Must be able
to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used
in the workplace; bilingual skills a plus. Ability to read,
analyze, and interpret general business information, including but
not limited to company policies and procedures. Ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions from
groups of managers and customers.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical
