Job Description SummaryIn this role, you will be a critical leader for the Schenectady Cores and Castings Organization. The Schenectady Cores and Castings Strategy and Growth Leader will partner and drive execution across the entire SCC organization, as well as partner closely with GSC and strategic sourcing leadership to align SCC's strategic plan to the overall supply chain and commodity strategies.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesAs the Schenectady Cores and Castings Strategy and Growth Leader, you will be responsible leading the development, planning, and execution of the actions tied to the SCC growth strategy (Technical and operational).

  • Work with SCC leadership, Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain leadership to further refine the SCC strategic plan, ensuring full alignment with overall supply chain and investment casting strategy.
  • Work with SCC leadership to develop the detailed action plan needed to execute the strategic vision, converting the strategy to actionable steps. This includes all aspects of resource planning, including investment, people and resources.
  • Lead the process of planning and executing the critical Capital Expenditure projects for the organization. Full ownership of SCC investment plan.
  • Own execution of the strategic plan, including ensuring timely completion of milestones and clear communication of resource needs.
  • Maintain close communication and partnership with Strategic Sourcing and GSC leadership to ensure SCC is providing value to support latest priorities and technologies.Required Qualifications
    • - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience)
    • 10+ years of manufacturing/sourcing/supply chain experience Desired Characteristics

      • Demonstrated ability to take vague problem, identify action plan, and partner with stakeholders to achieve goals
      • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion under tight deadlines
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
      • Demonstrated ability to manufacture or engineer out cost/cycle and improve product quality/performance
