GE is committed to helping the world achieve its decarbonization goals, which will require a diversified portfolio of technical solutions. One of those potential solutions includes the combination of a gas turbine with a carbon capture system. GE is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the introduction and application of this technology within the GE portfolio.

The Senior Product Manager - Carbon Capture will launch and develop GE's carbon capture product strategy. This individual will work closely with multiple external parties to develop a carbon capture solution that can be integrated with both new and existing gas turbine power plants across the globe. The Senior Product Manager - Carbon Capture will also be responsible for developing a multi-generational product plan ensuring that carbon capture continues to be a competitive pathway to decarbonizing GE's gas turbine fleet.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute GE's carbon capture strategy
  • Develop documentation that enables GE to quote and execute carbon capture systems on both New Units and its installed base
  • Collaborate with Government Relations to advocate, develop, and capture external funding to support carbon capture projects
  • Support GE's deal origination teams to develop new gas turbine carbon capture projects
  • Work across organizational and business structures for a common goal
  • Leverage an entrepreneurial mindset to execute business models in a decarbonized market
  • Drive the implementation of new carbon capture processes across Sales, Application engineering, and Requisition engineering while ensuring internal and external alignment
  • Create a multi-year strategy that defines the technical and product investments required to ensure carbon capture continues to be a viable decarbonization pathway

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Engineering from an accredited college or university or significant level experience in product management
  • Considerable experience in the Energy Industry and Product Management, or relevant experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA
  • Technical product knowledge of power generation equipment and energy market financial structures
  • Technical product knowledge of carbon capture systems, their technology, and emission market financial structures
  • Demonstrated ability to create new work processes across multiple business/organizational entities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with complex data sets and models and drive clear, concise outcomes
  • Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in English
  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills in a global environment
  • Innovative, open-minded, results-oriented and decisive
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Clear thinker with an ability to focus on the "critical few" issues/priorities
