Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Department: Human Resources

FLSA Designation: Exempt

License Type: Gaming

Summary: Responsible for all aspects of human resources including employment, education/training development and employee/labor relations.

Essential Job Functions:

Acts as strategic business partner with senior management on all human resources related issues including Employee/Labor Relations, Training and Development, Recruitment and Retention and employee engagement.

Conducts employee investigations, maintains accurate records and offers recommendations in compliance with local/state/federal laws as well as the union contract (GRIWA)

Develops and implements human resources programs that support the strategy, goals and objectives of the organization.

Stays abreast of Team Member related issues, guides leaders on the application and interpretation of policies & procedures and problem resolution with decisiveness and based on facts.

Develops or coordinates training and development programs that meet the needs of the organization as they relate to legal compliance, performance improvement, guest service and satisfaction and employee professional growth and development.

Establishes performance based total rewards programs in the areas of compensation, benefits and training, creating a work culture that rewards performance and attainment of organizational goals and objectives.

Establishes recruitment, selection and promotional programs that support diversity and inclusion in the workforce; ensuring that the organization is staffed with well-trained diverse employees.

Establishes employee relations programs that support the retention of competent, solid performing associates and development of programs that coach, counsel associates in a fair and respectful manner.

Assists with managing departmental budgets and monthly reconciliation.

Coordinates diversity initiatives with functional leaders from other divisions.

Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws.

Hires, trains and manages staff in accordance with organizational and departmental policies and programs.

Conducts team member feedback sessions to monitor workplace satisfaction and to provide feedback to senior management regarding process improvement.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older

College degree preferred

Five or more of Human Resources experience

Must be able to work with high volumes of confidential information in a professional manner

Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to actively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Must thrive in a fast-paced fluid environment.

Must be able to analyze situations and use critical thinking skills effectively get to the root of issues and resolve them

Team focused, catalyst for the success of the whole team

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and Google

Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing

New York State Gaming License required.
