Job Description:
Translate domain product roadmaps into data requirements,
identifying opportunities where data can unlock user value before
engineering teams start building. Attend product planning and
"definment" sessions to represent data perspective early in the
software development lifecycle (SDLC). Maintain a domain-specific
data roadmap aligned with strategic priorities. Partner with
Engineering teams to ensure foundational capabilities support
domain needs. Orchestrate team priorities to balance strategic
initiatives with operational requests. Foster deep domain expertise
within the team, building institutional knowledge of
domain-specific metrics, user journeys, and business logic. Own
data quality and trustworthiness for domain-specific datasets from
ingestion through insight. Collaborate with Governance & Quality
teams to apply standards while adapting to domain-specific needs.
Ensure proper instrumentation, documentation, and accessibility of
domain data assets. Serve as primary data partner to product
managers, engineering leads, domain leaders and executives.
Communicate data insights and opportunities in business context,
connecting technical work to user outcomes. Manage expectations and
communicate tradeoffs when prioritizing data work. Skills and
Qualifications 5 years experience in data analytics, data science,
or related field with demonstrated progression into strategic roles
3 years leading cross-functional data initiatives involving
engineers, analysts, and scientists Experience with modern data
stacks (cloud warehouses, BI tools, ETL/ELT pipelines) Experience
in mobile app analytics or consumer digital products preferred
Experience in one or more domains, including consumer engagement,
marketing technology, and platform/B2B products preferred
Experience managing data initiatives through organizational change
preferred Strong product thinking skills, with the ability to
translate business objectives into clear data requirements and
translate data insights back into actionable business outcomes.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills,
including the ability to clearly present complex data concepts to
executive audiences. Deep knowledge of the end-to-end data
lifecycle, including data collection, storage, transformation,
analysis, and activation. Knowledge of personalization engines,
recommendation systems, and experimentation platforms (preferred).
Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
to align data strategy with organizational goals. Ability to
communicate insights and recommendations in a clear, compelling,
and executive-ready manner. Where We’re Looking For It Schenectady,

will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on
workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline
calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus
background checks will be required. Salary dependent upon
experience.
