Provide advanced network architectural design and support for MVP's
current and future network infrastructureLead in the design and
implementation of network strategies, roadmaps and architectures to
enable a secure and scalable network infrastructureLead or consult
on complex technology projects requiring deep subject matter
expertise in various fields of specialization, such as security,
cloud, and network monitoring Requirements
- Proficient in creating network and security strategies,
roadmaps, and architecture models aligned with business and
technology goals
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and zero
trust networks
- Experience with developing network and security architecture
artifacts (architecture models, guiding principles, patterns,
standards, and related taxonomy)
- Full-stack knowledge and experience of IT infrastructure
including on-premises and cloud platforms with experience migrating
to the cloud
- Experience with various vendors and technologies, including
Cisco, Genesys, Zscaler, Meraki, VMware and others Proficiency in
designing, implementing, and managing Cisco and Meraki networking
solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless
access points
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologiesKnowledge
of Cisco and Meraki networking best practices, design principles,
and configuration management
- Experience in integrating Cisco and Meraki networking solutions
with cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure (such as Azure
Virtual Network and Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Load
Balancer, and Application Gateway)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
using diagnostic tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN)
concepts, including dynamic path selection, traffic steering, and
policy-based routing (specifically VMware VeloCloud)
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and frameworks
(HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO, NIST, PCI, OSI)
- Healthcare industry experience is advantageous
- Relevant network and security certifications are preferred
Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural vision and strategy development
- Consult on application or infrastructure development
projects
- Guide engineers and IT leaders in roadmap communication and
implementation
- Define principles guiding technology decisions and enterprise
business context
- Collaborate with business peers to develop business capability
models and roadmaps
- Review and approve logical designs and architectures
- Lead enterprise-wide initiatives for systems integration
- Drive post-implementation continuous improvement efforts
- Lead architectural collaboration with other IT teams
- Coach, develop, and mentor junior engineers and network team
members
- Evaluate and advise on technology options and risks
- Direct research and evaluation of emerging technologies
- Collaborate in creating governing principles for architectural
governance
- Ensure establishment of technical architecture for sustained
business value
- Drive executive vision for cloud adoption and assist in cloud
strategy development
- Coordinate vendor selection processes, negotiate contracts, and
manage vendor relationships to ensure alignment with project
requirements and budget constraints Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required: related field preferred
- 10 years of experience in IT and business/industry, including
architecture design and deployment
- 10 years of experience in Network Infrastructure Architecture
and Engineering
- 5 years of technical leadership and relevant architecture
experience required
- Certification in Cisco technologies, such as Cisco Certified
Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
(CCIE)
- Certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions
Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate)
- Deep understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and
security measures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to diverse technologies and environments
- Extensive self-motivation, risk-taking abilities,
decision-making, and critical thinking
- Experience with relationship management and
consensus-building
