This is an excepted service positionthat requires membership in a compatible military assignment in theemploying state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently amember of the National Guard must be eligible for immediatemembership. An applicant must have a validated understanding ofthe basic principles and concepts of the occupational series andgrade.**SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:** Experiences that prepared the applicantto perform the duties of the position. The applicant'seducational-degree study program or military or civilian academiccourses may substitute for some specialized experience. An applicantmust demonstrate the specialized experience competencies (skills,knowledge, abilities and behaviors) to qualify for a positionidentified by its position grade and career level.Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07level or the equivalent which provided a basic working knowledge ofNational Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs. Musthave a basic knowledge and experiences of personnel programs gainedin a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee. Have knowledge-basedcompetency of human resources business elements and can discussterminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to thiscompetency. Experienced in using references and resource materialsand experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnelrecords, counseling, or classification and assignments. Experiencesmay include performing personnel functions associated with preparingand maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnelclassification or usage, quality force management, managingpersonnel records and researching record data. Experienced inoperating a computer and using varied computer programs.### Education**You must meet the following Education requirement to qualify forthis position:** Must have a high school diploma or a generaleducation development (GED) diploma. An undergraduate degree from anaccredited college/university is optimum.**You must provide transcripts or other documentation to supportyour Educational claims.
