Job Description:
Description
The Employment Specialist will support individuals in finding and
maintaining employment by performing and completing initial
screening/assessments on all individuals referred to New Directions
employment program. Additional responsibilities include, but are
not limited to: *Developing a service plan to identify an
individual's abilities/barriers to employment, required services,
and viable primary and secondary vocational goals *Arranging and
conducting situational assessments as needed to determine
individuals' interests in various careers *Working in close
collaboration with other employment support staff, individuals'
respective supportive services, family members and employers to
facilitate a successful employment situation *Monitoring and
evaluating individual's work performance on job site during and
after initial training period Schenectady ARC has been providing
services to developmentally disabled adults since 1952 and is

Compensation $18.37- $20.34Schenectady ARC provides a comprehensive

At least 1 yr experience working in field: Novice
Reliable transportation: Expert
