The Capital District YMCA is seeking a Part-time Kitchen Assistant. Under the direction and supervision of the Residence Food Service Supervisor this position assists in all aspects of the meal program at the Schenectady Men's Residence. REQUIREMENTS: MUST be 18 years of age or older.The ability and willingness to follow directions.Proficiency in using kitchen appliances and equipment.Cooking experience in a quantity food service capacity including catering and banquet preparation,orenrollmentornewly graduated from a culinary arts program is preferred.A current ServSafe certificationispreferred. Scheduled Shifts by Location: Men's Residence:Part Time; Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 7:00pm and Weekends 9:00am - 6:30pm This is a part-time position with starting salary of $12.50 per hour. ExperienceRequired 1 year(s): Prior food service experience.
