OBGYN Tricities, WA vs Full-Time Regular Job Description My client, a large Tri-Cities integrated Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) primary care network that produces over 100,000 patient encounters annually, is recruiting for dynamic, patient-centered and customer-service-oriented OB/GYN providers. Our system provides Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, WIC, Urgent Care, OBGYN, Geriatrics, Dentistry, Psychiatry and other Social Services to over 30,000 patients. Our network desires to strengthen our provider group through the strategic addition of more Family Practice, Internal Medicine and Pediatric providers. Our network is an approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Recruitment and Retention provider site and we also participate in the Washington State Department of Health, Health Professional Loan Repayment Program as well as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services HRSA NHSC Loan Repayment Program. We are committed to offering network services in a comfortable, personable, professional and culturally competent manner. They will be working in the clinic as well as doing on call at the 3 local hospitals (patients can deliver at any one of the 3 they choose). They will do their own on call-1 day a week and 1 weekend a month. They should plan to see one patient every 15 minutes. They have 2 clinics and this position is located at their primary clinic. There are 5 RNs working there and 1 support staff per specialty (I believe that is what she said but I could be mistaken). They also have an Urgent Care, Detox Center, Mental/Behavioral Health Center, and the Kennewick General Clinic. At all the other locations, there is 1 support Staff and usually 1 RN. They are all outpatient cases. All the Physicians are either board certified or eligible which is built into their contract to be certified in a certain amount of time. They work with the 3 local hospitals in the area as well depending on specialty. They have been heavily recruiting for the past 1-2 years and growing tremendously. They hope to continue growing. They will work with new grad residents, as well as Physicians on Visas (as long as the state of WA has some openings still available). They do offer loan repayment , interview expenses are paid for, as well as relocation. They also cover CMEs. This is an outdoor lovers area, big wine country area, great schools in Richland, 3-4 hours from Seattle. The Tri-Cities is a mid-sized metropolitan area of approximately 230,000 people that also includes the cities of Kennewick and Richland. The population was 32,066 at the 2000 census. Since that time the city has experienced rapid growth, and the official April 1, 2009 estimate from the Washington State Office of Financial Management puts the city's population at 54,490. As the city is located in Southeastern Washington, the city lies in the rain shadow of the Cascade Range. As a result, the area is a windswept desert, receiving little precipitation throughout the year. Hot summers and cold winters provide a stark contrast to other areas of the state. The massive Columbia River borders the south side of the city, separating it from the neighboring cities of Richland and Kennewick. Welcome to the Tri-Cities where 300 sun-filled days offer visitors a year-round outdoor paradise. Fun in the sun is a way of life in the Tri-Cities; river action abounds on the Columbia, Snake, and Yakima rivers. Recreational and sports enthusiasts will love the Tri-Cities. Visitors can enjoy one of the three professionals sports teams. And with everything from bicycling to bowling, hunting to fishing, and soccer to water-skiing, the recreational opportunities are endless. The area's ten beautiful courses challenge the most experienced golfer, but can be enjoyed by the beginner as well. After savoring just one of the local premium wines, visitors will understand why the area has been rightfully called the "Heart of Washington Wine Country." The Tri-Cities boasts more than 160 wineries within a 60-mile radius, producing some of the finest wines in the world. The confluence of the Snake, Yakima and Columbia Rivers has produced an aquatic playground second to none. The area's inviting waterways beckon water lovers from all over the region to enjoy sailing, power and pleasure boating, waterskiing, swimming, fishing, windsurfing, and much more.
