Job Description:

Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a locum tenens opportunity? A healthcare facility near Kingston, NY, is looking for skilled professionals to provide outstanding patient care. This position is available starting in March/April 2025 and runs through the remainder of the year.

• Facility Overview:

  • Approximately 150 total hospital beds
  • Annual emergency department (ED) volume of 48,000 patients
  • Level III Trauma Center with comprehensive specialty backup, including trauma, interventional cardiology, orthopedics, OB-GYN, anesthesia, and critical care
  • 31 ED beds, including 8 Fast Track beds
  • EMR system: EPIC

• Shift Details:

  • Physician and APP coverage provided 24/7
  • Flexible shift options:
    • 7 AM - 5 PM / 7 PM
    • 10:30 AM - 9:30 PM
    • 3 PM - 11:30 PM
    • 9 PM - 7 AM
  • Weekend shifts required; no on-call responsibilities
  • Minimum monthly shift commitment: 6

• Support System:

  • Internal Medicine residents and PA students onsite
  • 24/7 Clinical Information Manager (CIM) and scribe coverage

• Active NY medical license required (no exceptions for applicants needing to apply for licensure).
• Emergency Medicine residency training mandatory.
• Board certification or eligibility (ABEM) within three years of eligibility. ABPS certification not accepted.
• Providers must maintain a clean professional file.
• Required certifications (must be American Heart Association certified):
  • ACLS, BCLS, PALS, and ATLS

• Compliance with all health requirements, including TB, Flu, and COVID-19 vaccinations, as well as up-to-date immunizations.
