Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing care in an acute inpatient Progressive Care Unit at a well-equipped 341-bed hospital located in Keeseville, NY. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Stepdown RNs who are proficient in managing complex cardiac patients and capable of adapting to a fast-paced environment with advanced monitoring needs. Responsibilities include: Delivering patient care to adults with diagnoses such as Acute Coronary Syndrome, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-vascular surgery care. Managing telemetry monitoring and administering titrating drips including inotropic, antiarrhythmic, and insulin infusions. Performing procedures such as starting IVs, EKGs, post-cardiac catheterization care, and insulin drip management. Participating in the Resource Float team, providing coverage to appropriate units as needed. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including CNA/PCT staff and telemetry technicians. Documenting care in the EPIC system with strict adherence to protocols and dress code policies. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year clinical experience, including 1 year in a similar progressive care or stepdown specialty. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Experience with telemetry monitoring and managing cardiac patients preferred. Ability to float to other units as part of resource team. Strong communication skills and professional presentation, including adherence to grooming and dress code (navy blue or white scrubs, closed-toe nonskid shoes). Schedule & Work Environment: Shifts typically 7 AM to 7 PM with posted rotation schedules. Weekend work generally required every other weekend. Holiday coverage may be necessary.
