Albany Medical Center seeks a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Per DIEM RN to join our innovative healthcare team. This role is pivotal in providing compassionate and high-quality care to critically ill children. The position embraces the challenge of managing complex medical situations and provides an opportunity to work alongside top professionals in pediatric care within a leading medical institution. Provide compassionate and effective patient care to critically ill children in the PICU. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with a healthcare team. Monitor patient condition, administer medications, and maintain patient records. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment, and home care preparations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Strong clinical skills in a pediatric intensive care setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to function well in high-pressure environments Proficient in using medical software for patient care management Valid RN license in the state of practice Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
