Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system renowned for
its advancements in medical education, research, and clinical care,
is seeking a Clinical Nurse III for the Vascular Surgery
department. This position demands a highly skilled nurse who can
provide expert care to patients undergoing vascular surgeries,
support patient recovery, and guide families through the care
process. This role requires a deep understanding of vascular
health, patient management, and the ability to work collaboratively
in a fast-paced environment. Provide direct and individualized
nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific
nursing principles. Monitor patient health and post-surgical
recovery, adjusting care plans as necessary. Collaborate with
surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to
ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their
families on surgical procedures, recovery strategies, and
preventative care. Participate in research and development
activities to advance the efficacy of vascular surgical practices.
Advanced knowledge of vascular diseases and treatment procedures
Ability to operate and monitor medical equipment Strong
interpersonal and communication skills Capacity for critical
thinking and rapid decision-making Proficiency in electronic health
record (EHR) systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in
the state of practice Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
preferred Board Certified in Vascular Nursing (BCVN) is a plus
