our Partners, a well-established acute care hospital in upstate New
York, is seeking an experienced Surgical Nurse Practitioner for
locum tenens coverage beginning August 2026. This role offers a
balanced mix of OR first assist and inpatient surgical care ,
flexible scheduling, and optional call for additional income.
Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,000 – $7,500 Assignment Highlights
Flexible scheduling: 3x12s, 4x10s, or 5x8s Initial coverage:
8/6–8/8 (3x12s) 8/21–8/28 (flexible schedule options) Strong
likelihood of extension through end of 2026 Optional call
opportunities: Weekend: Fri 5p – Mon 7a Weeknight: ~4 shifts/month
(5p–7a) Case mix: General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics OR First
Assist Surgical Floor Coverage EMR: Epic Travel & lodging prepaid

Commission–certified agency Job Responsibilities First assist in
surgical procedures across specialties Perform suturing, wound
closure, and hemostasis Manage inpatient surgical floor (rounds,
consults, discharges) Place orders and coordinate care plans Assist
with perioperative care
