Schedule 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM Job Description The Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) plays a crucial role as a member of the OR Team, working alongside surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, and other support personnel. The primary responsibility is to scrub for surgical cases, particularly those requiring cardiovascular/open heart experience. Responsibilities - Scrubbing for surgical cases, particularly in cardiovascular/open heart surgery. - Handling instruments, supplies, medication, media, specimens, and instrument cases. - Collaboration with the OR Manager and Surgery Center Manager to ensure a smooth surgical process. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Experience in cardiovascular/open heart surgery is required. - Various personal health history certifications must be up-to-date, including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Test, and Varicella. - Driver's License or State ID must be provided. - Completion of annual TB questionnaire and health statement is required. - Professional references and criminal background checks are mandatory. - Completion of a drug screening is required.
