Details - Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting - 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule: 3x12s one week, alternating with 3x12s plus one 8-hour shift the following week - Minimum every other weekend required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs - No block scheduling available - Epic EMR is used on this unit - 16-week contract with potential extension up to 32 weeks Requirements - Active NY RN license required; proof of pending application with applied date is acceptable - Active VT RN license not required at time of consideration; candidates without VT licensure will be accepted - Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required - NIHSS certification required prior to start - Minimum 1 year of RN experience required - Prior travel nursing experience required - Charge nurse experience required; candidate will be expected to perform in a charge capacity regularly - Epic experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable) - Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment - SSN and DOB required for consideration - Reliable personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation is not accessible in this area - Vehicle equipped with all-season or snow tires required during November through April Additional Information - Candidate will regularly perform in a charge nurse capacity - This is an interview-to-offer (ITO) position - Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays - All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained in work history - Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type for each position - Candidates applying for or committed to a NY license should be aware that NY licensing typically takes 6–8 weeks; this will be taken into consideration for start date and offer timing American Traveler Job ID P-677076.
