This role demands a meticulous and compassionate professional committed to providing top-tier critical care during night shifts. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will play a pivotal role in our SICU/Neuro ICU, ensuring that our high standards of care are met while fostering a safe and empathetic environment for patients and their families. Monitor and manage patient care in a highly specialized ICU setting focusing on surgical and neurological conditions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Administer medications and treatments accurately and promptly, adhering to the highest standards of nursing practice. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Educate patients and families on illness and injury prevention and post-hospital treatment plans. Demonstrate commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Support the mission and vision of Albany Medical Center by providing exceptional care. Expertise in ICU nursing procedures Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments Medical Insurance Life Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of New York. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred.
