Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system known for its

and exceptional patient care, is seeking a Clinical Nurse III for
our Colorectal Surgery & Urology department. This position is ideal
for a seasoned nursing professional specialized in surgical care,
aiming to leverage their skills in a dynamic and supportive
environment. The role demands a compassionate, detail-oriented
approach to patient care, ensuring both safety and quality
standards are consistently met. Provide comprehensive nursing care
for patients undergoing colorectal and urological surgeries.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement
patient care plans. Monitor patient recovery and adapt care plans
in response to patient conditions. Educate patients and families on
post-surgery care and health management. Maintain accurate patient
records and report any discrepancies to the supervising doctor.
Manage a team of nurses and support staff to ensure adherence to
departmental protocols. Participate in research studies and
contribute to the development of best practices in surgical
nursing. Advanced knowledge of colorectal and urological surgical
procedures Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage
nursing staff Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and make informed
decisions Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in the
state. Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support). Certified Urology Nurse (CUN) or
Certified in the specialty of colorectal surgery preferred.
