Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system known for its
commitment to innovative medical education, research, and
comprehensive patient care, is seeking a dedicated RN-Clinical
Expeditor. This role is pivotal in managing patient flow within the
hospital to ensure efficient care delivery and optimal use of
resources. The RN-Clinical Expeditor will act as the point of
contact between different departments, coordinate patient
transfers, manage bed assignments, and maintain ongoing
communication with medical staff to address patient care needs
promptly. This position requires an individual who can blend
clinical expertise with effective communication and organizational
skills to enhance patient outcomes and streamline operations.
Coordinate the admission, discharge, and transfer processes to
optimize bed utilization and minimize patient wait times.
Communicate effectively with healthcare teams across departments to
ensure accurate and timely patient information exchange. Monitor
patient flow using hospital systems and work collaboratively with
staff to prioritize patient needs. Identify and resolve bottlenecks
in patient processing to improve efficiency and patient experience.
Participate in daily huddles and multi-disciplinary meetings to
discuss patient statuses and plan care delivery effectively. Ensure
compliance with all healthcare regulations and internal protocols.
Strong clinical knowledge and skills as a registered nurse
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills Effective
communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using hospital
management software and electronic health records Ability to work
under pressure in a fast-paced environment Problem-solving skills
and ability to manage complex scenarios in patient care Medical

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice BLS
certification; ACLS preferred
