Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated RN-Education Specialist to join our Clinical Center for Learning and Development. This role is pivotal in empowering our nursing staff through advanced education and practice-based learning. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of clinical nursing practices to enhance our educational programs and patient care services. Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs and curricula for nursing staff. Facilitate classroom, online, and in-situ training sessions to enhance clinical competencies. Assess learning needs and the effectiveness of educational offerings, making improvements as necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate evidence-based practices into training. Provide mentorship and coaching to nursing staff to promote professional development. Develop educational materials and manuals compliant with the latest medical standards and technologies. Stay current with innovations in nursing education and healthcare to continually enhance the curriculum. Strong teaching and mentoring abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in clinical operations and nursing practice Ability to design curriculum and educational programs Knowledge of current medical education technologies and methodologies Capability to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Professional development and/or instructional design certifications are advantageous
