Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system which
integrates a prestigious hospital with a pioneering medical
college, is seeking a dedicated RN Education Specialist for our
Clinical Center for Learning and Development. This role is pivotal
in advancing our mission of exceptional medical education,
research, and patient care through the development and delivery of
high-caliber training and continuous educational programs for our
nursing staff and healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess
a robust background in clinical nursing, a passion for education,
and a commitment to enhancing the professional development of our
team to improve patient outcomes. Design, implement, and evaluate
educational programs and curricula for nursing staff and allied
health professionals. Lead and facilitate classroom training
sessions, workshops, and seminars. Stay updated on the latest
clinical practices and integrate them into educational content.
Assess learning needs and the effectiveness of educational
programs. Collaborate with nursing leaders and staff to tailor
education strategies. Maintain and enhance clinical competence via
regular educational activities. Support the professional
development and certification of staff through mentoring and
resources. Strong clinical and nursing foundation with the ability
to educate and mentor. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Proficiency in creating and delivering engaging content
both face-to-face and online. Ability to evaluate the effectiveness
of training programs and make evidence-based adjustments.
Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certified Nurse Educator
(CNE) or similar certification preferred.
