Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our B3-General Surgery/Trauma team. This position requires a compassionate professional who can deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing general surgery and trauma recovery in a dynamic hospital setting. The successful candidate will be part of a team that is deeply committed to enhancing patient outcomes through innovative practices and comprehensive care management. Provide direct patient care to surgical and trauma patients following established standards and practices. Assess patient condition, administer medications, and monitor recovery. Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate patient care. Educate patients and their families on disease management, surgical procedures, and post-operative care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Participate in clinical audits and contribute to departmental improvements. Strong clinical skills with a focus on surgical and trauma care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using medical software and patient management systems. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. CPR/BLS certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification desirable.
