Physical Therapist Location: Cobleskill, NY Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: $2,846 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Industry: Healthcare / Health Services Job Category: Medical / Health Allied Health (Physical Therapy) Location: Cobleskill, NY Employment Type: Travel Contract Job Summary Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) for a hospital-based role with a primary focus on outpatient orthopedics and general practice PT, plus limited inpatient acute/swing-bed rehab coverage. The PT will treat a high geriatric case mix, manage a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, and work within a critical-access hospital environment that includes a small swing-bed rehab unit. Setting & Schedule Primary setting: Outpatient physical therapy clinic. Secondary setting: Inpatient acute and swing-bed rehabilitation (estimated Location: Cobleskill-based; travel to other network locations only in rare/extenuating circumstances. Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid meal break). Intermittent Saturday coverage (4 hours) approximately every 4th 5th week, with 4 hours trimmed from a weekday that same week. Patient Population & Case Types Outpatient: General orthopedics and practice PT (shoulder, back, hip, knee). Falls and balance cases. Neurological diagnoses, including stroke and Parkinson s disease. Inpatient (critical-access/swing-bed): Approximately 15-patient swing-bed rehab unit. Orthopedic and post-surgical rehab. General illness deconditioning and rehabilitation post-acute stay. High geriatric case mix: >50% of caseload. Caseload & Productivity Approximately 15 treatment sessions per day (30 minutes each). Evaluations: 60 minutes each, limited to 4 5 per day. Follow-up visits: 30 minutes each. No double-booking or over-booking in standard practice. Technology & Modalities Modalities used: Ultrasound and electrical stimulation (e-stim). EMR: Epic for both inpatient and outpatient documentation. Computers on wheels enabling real-time charting at point of care. Required Certifications & Licensure Current New York State Physical Therapy License. Current BLS/CPR certification. Experience Preferences Outpatient orthopedic experience required . Inpatient/acute/rehab or swing-bed experience preferred . Comfort with geriatric populations, falls/balance, and neuro diagnoses is highly desirable.
