Role Specifics and Benefits Position summary and responsibilities - Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg Tele unit, delivering evidence-based nursing interventions to adult populations with diverse diagnoses. - Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and clinical status; recognize early signs of deterioration and escalate promptly. - Administer medications, manage IV therapies, assessments, wound care, and infusion therapies as prescribed. - Lead discharge planning, patient and family education, and coordination with case management to ensure smooth transitions. - Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, therapists, and ancillary teams to optimize care plans. - Document thoroughly in electronic health records; participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice. - Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, ethical practice, and compassionate communication with patients and families. - Provide mentorship and support to peers and new staff to advance unit performance and patient safety.
