Job Description:
Join the dedicated nursing team at Albany Medical Center in the
C6 Short Stay Surgical Unit. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will play
a critical role in providing top-notch care to patients undergoing
short-term surgical procedures. You will have the autonomy to
advocate for and implement high standards of care, directly
impacting patient outcomes and recovery durations. This role
requires a compassionate, detail-oriented nurse who thrives in a
dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing surgical patients'
pre-and post-operative care. Conduct pre- and post-operative
nursing assessments Administer and manage medication and pain
control Monitor patient recovery and compile reports for physicians
Educate patients and families about aftercare procedures Maintain a
sterile environment and uphold all safety protocols Participate in
continuous improvement initiatives within the unit Strong clinical
skills with a focus on surgical care Excellent ability to
communicate and educate patients and staff Proficiency in
electronic medical record systems Ability to work effectively both
independently and as part of a team Medical Insurance Dental

(RN) licensed in the state of New York Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
