The Per Diem LPN will support urology services, handling clinical duties and the direct care of patients, aligning with our commitment to excellence in healthcare and community service. Provide nursing care and assist in the management of conditions specific to urology, following established treatment protocols. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers while monitoring patients' conditions. Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures including the management of catheters, ultrasound equipment, and other urological tools. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical treatment plans, and self-care skills. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy according to compliance with HIPAA regulations. Strong clinical skills with a focus on urology. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently. Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Current LPN license in the state of New York. CPR/BLS certification. Certification in Urology Nursing (CURN) preferred but not required.
