Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system that merges

initiatives, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our
Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit. This role is pivotal in
providing top-tier nursing care tailored to colorectal and
urological patients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about
transforming patient care and supporting pioneering research within
a dynamic team environment aiming to exceed standards in patient
outcomes. Provide comprehensive nursing care to colorectal and
urology patients, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and
standards. Assist in surgical procedures and manage pre-operative
and post-operative care effectively. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and treatment
protocols. Implement patient care plans and monitor progress,
adjusting as necessary. Educate patients and families on treatment
expectations, post-surgery care, and long-term health management.
Participate in clinical research and initiatives to advance the
field of colorectal and urological medicine. Strong clinical skills
with a focus on colorectal and urological nursing care. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with
patients and teams. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure
environment. Proficient in using medical software and electronic
health records. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Certified in Colorectal Nursing
(CNC) or Urology Nursing certification preferred.
