Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading medical institution that
integrates a top-tier hospital with a cutting-edge medical college,
is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse III for our Labor and
Delivery Unit. This caring professional will play a crucial role in
providing exceptional care to mothers and babies during one of the
most significant times of their lives. The role requires a
commitment to work 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, including
weekends and holidays, within a dynamic and supportive team
environment. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to
patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients'
conditions. Maintain accurate patient medical records and report
any discrepancies to the supervising nurse or physician. Administer
medications as prescribed by healthcare practitioners and monitor
patients for reactions or side effects. Prepare and position
patients during labor and birth, and assist physicians during
examinations and treatments. Provide emotional support and guidance
to patients and their family members before, during, and after
delivery. Ensure compliance with hygiene standards and infection
control measures to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Proficiency in patient health data management software, Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to work efficiently
under sustained pressure. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the
state of practice. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS),
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification,
