Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system renowned for
its commitment to medical education, research, and superior patient
care, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse III to join our
Medical/Surgical Hospitalist team on the E4 unit. This part-time
position involves providing high-quality nursing care during
weekend day shifts, working 24 hours per week. The ideal candidate
will be responsible for managing patient care in a fast-paced
hospital setting, providing support to a diverse patient
population, and collaborating with a team of healthcare
professionals to optimize health outcomes. Assess, plan, implement,
and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the
healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments as
prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Operate
medical equipment, uphold standards of cleanliness and organization
within the unit. Educate patients and their families on disease
processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of
therapeutic regimens. Participate in the development and
implementation of unit policies and health guidelines. Document
patient care services by charting in patient and department
records. Excellent clinical nursing skills. Strong organizational
and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively
in a high-pressure environment. Proficient in using healthcare
software and systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in
the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
