registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A Registered Nurse (RN) role is available to provide
essential health care services within a K-12 school environment in
Newcomb, NM. This contract position supports student and staff
well-being across multiple schools, emphasizing leadership and
collaboration in school health management. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Lead Nurse overseeing Health Aides on campus Deliver first
aid and basic health care to students and school staff Administer
prescribed medications and treatments as authorized Support
students managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and
epilepsy Maintain accurate documentation including health office
visits, medication logs, and immunization records Assist with
student health screenings and contribute to IEP/504 plan
implementation Respond to health emergencies with professionalism
and calmness Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and
healthcare providers to ensure optimal student health care
Qualifications and Experience: Valid RN license with current
CPR/AED certification Experience in school nursing or working with
children preferred Strong communication and organizational
abilities Ability to travel between 2 to 3 schools as needed
Successful completion of a background check and fingerprint
clearance required Bilingual speakers in English and Navajo (Din)
preferred Familiarity with IEPs, individualized student care plans,
school health regulations, and FERPA guidelines is an advantage
Work Details: Location: Newcomb, NM Schedule: 37.5 hours per week,
onsite only Duration: Immediate start through May 29, 2026
Caseload: Supporting 23 schools within the district This
