Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/29/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Operating Room Nurse – New York Start Date: January 29, 2026 Location: New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Operating room coverage across 14 surgical suites plus labor and delivery support for C-sections; average of 50 procedures per day Highlights: Multi-specialty surgical environment covering all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology Primarily circulating position with opportunities to utilize scrub skills Patient population ranges from pediatric through adult EPIC electronic medical record system Strong emphasis on vascular surgery, orthopedic surgery, and DaVinci X1 robotic procedures Non-billable orientation of 8 hours provided Requirements: Current New York State RN license New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required prior to submission Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience Demonstrated experience in orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, and DaVinci X1 robotic procedures Previous travel nursing experience required EPIC EMR experience required Both scrub and circulating experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Reliable personal vehicle required Completion of de-escalation training from Welle, CPI, or PMCS 14-panel drug screen required within 24 hours of offer acceptance Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical environment where you'll apply advanced skills across diverse procedures including robotics and complex orthopedic and vascular cases.
