In this role, you will provide life-saving care to patients facing severe, complex, or rapidly changing health conditions. As an ICU nurse, you’ll be responsible for continuous monitoring, advanced interventions, and close collaboration with physicians and specialists to stabilize and support critically ill patients. Daily duties include managing ventilators, administering high-risk medications, interpreting lab and diagnostic data, and responding swiftly to medical emergencies. You'll work with cutting-edge technology and protocols while offering compassionate, individualized care to patients and their families in high-stress situations. This position requires sharp clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and emotional strength. You’ll care for patients recovering from trauma, surgery, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac events, and more. Minimum 2 years experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Travel experience preferred. Must be willing to float to MS/Tele if needed with a max of 4 patients. Every other weekend and every other holiday. NO CALL! GFH requires de-escalation training for all units (Welle, CPI or PMCS). Must have EPIC experience and strongly prefer CERNER experience.
