Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: RN - Med Surg Facility: Saratoga Hospital Shift: 07:30-19:00 Start Date: 17/11/2025 Assignment Length: 13 weeks (until 14/02/2026) CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Current New York State Registered Nurse License (underline and bold) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (underline and bold) EPIC Experience (required) Willingness to float across units as needed WHAT YOU BRING Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care hospital nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting. Proven experience with adult and geriatric patient populations, primarily medical and post-surgical cases including orthopedics, bariatrics, spine, and general surgeries. Prior travel nurse experience preferred. Ability to complete an on-site ECG exam, which will be timed and administered with provided study material. Flexibility to work every other weekend and holiday shifts. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Adaptability to changing circumstances and willingness to float across different units. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in an acute hospital setting. Administer medications, perform patient assessments, and implement care plans under the supervision of healthcare providers. Respond promptly to patient needs and ensure safety and comfort at all times. Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (Epic). Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards. Be flexible to float across units as staffing needs fluctuate. Participate in weekend and holiday rotations on a scheduled basis. Note: The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 5 shifts per contract. The facility does not accept travelers from Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, and Albany counties in NY.
