Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting License: Current New York License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Epic experience is required Strong proficiency in working with Cardiac/Tele, Med-Tele Units is required Previous travel experience is highly preferred Neuro/stroke experience is highly preferred Must be able to interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms twice per shift Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential Description: This position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting. Nurses will work with a patient population that primarily includes cardiac and telemetry patients. The unit consists of 16 beds, with an RN to patient ratio typically of 4:1. Personal scrubs of any color are required, but designs or cartoons are not permitted. Requested time off must be noted and verified in advance. No more than five days of requested time off will be accepted. Cancellations may occur for up to five shifts per contract. Staff must be able to follow departmental expectations and guidelines. Candidates must have their own vehicle for commuting. It is essential that candidates adhere to all medical and vaccination compliance requirements.
