Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in New York that requires a NY RN license and strong telemetry skills. Responsibilities - Position is in a hospital Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring responsibilities - Adult and geriatric inpatient population, including patients needing telemetry, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and critical drips - May also care for ER hold patients and float based on needs from Care Coordinator Center - Unit has 40 beds with patient ratios of 1:4-5 on day shift and 1:5-6 on night shift - Day and night shifts available; schedule requires working every other weekend and holiday - EPIC EMR experience required - An ECG exam is administered on arrival; an 85% or higher score is necessary to continue - Candidates cannot reside in the following NY counties: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Albany - Responsibilities include providing care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients as well as supporting ER hold patients as needed - Must be able to float to different areas based on facility demand - Travel experience is preferred but not required - A study guide for the ECG exam will be provided prior to the start date - Candidates employed as staff at this facility within the past year or within the AMC network in the past six months will not be considered - COVID vaccination policies may apply as per credentialing requirements Requirements - Active NY RN license required - Minimum of 3 years of RN experience - At least 1 year of current experience with telemetry population - Current BLS certification required - NIH Stroke certification required - EPIC charting experience required - Experience with critical drips and CVA preferred - Must be able to pass a facility-administered ECG exam on arrival - Facility physical is required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-610963.
