WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a local contract nursing job in Schenectady, New York. Job Description & Requirements ~ Specialty: ED - Emergency Department ~ Discipline: RN ~ Duration: 13 weeks ~36 hours per week ~ Shift: 12 hours, nights ~ Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an Emergency Room Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Job Function: ~ Night Shift. ~3x12: 7pm - 7:30am. ~ Responsible for managing the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies, and interventions. ~ Provide support, education and comfort to patients and their families during their emergency room experience. ~ Close communication with all members of the healthcare team, as well as the ability to independently recognize the need for early intervention. ~ Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic testing. Job Requirements: ~ Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). ~ Current RN license for the state of New York required. ~2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required. ~ BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association required. ~ ENPC and NISS certifications preferred.
