Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Behavioral Health - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Travel Psych RN – Senior Behavioral Health | 13 Weeks | Nights | Rome, NY A facility in Rome, NY is hiring a Psychiatric RN for a 13-week night shift assignment on their Senior Behavioral Health Unit. This is a specialized role focused on the emotional and mental health care of older adults and includes consistent overnight coverage with weekend and holiday rotation. Schedule: - Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM - Every other weekend and holiday required - Start date: 06/30/2025 - 13-week contract Unit Info: - 12-bed senior behavioral health unit - Nurse-patient ratio: 1:5 - Charting system: Paragon - Medication administration required - Requires SCR/SEL training (SLMs Justice Center) - Behavioral management/de-escalation training strongly preferred (please specify type during submission) - $25 non-refundable background fee required if accepted ? Requirements: - 2 years of nursing experience - Previous inpatient psychiatric experience required - BLS (AHA) required - NIH Stroke Certification required before start - 8 hours of stroke-related CEUs to be completed during orientation - Charge experience preferred COVID Policy: - Vaccine not required - If vaccinated, provide documentation; if not, submit a declination - COVID prescreen no longer required This role is ideal for experienced psych nurses with a passion for senior behavioral health and confident medication management skills. 13-week night shift contract (7p–7:30a) on Senior Behavioral Health unit. EOW/holiday required. Must have 2 years nursing experience, previous psych experience, BLS, NIH Stroke Cert (before start), and 8 CEUs during orientation. De-escalation training preferred—please specify type. $25 background fee required if accepted. COVID vaccine not required.
