Job Title -RN Med SurgLocation-Utica, NYJob Type- 13 weeks contractShift- Nights (6:30AM-7:00PM)Job Description-2+ years of experience in MS STROKE STEPDOWN and documents travel experience.Current AHA BLS, NIHSSMust have active RN NY licenseUnit: MS Stroke Stepdown PatientsShift: 6:30a-7p (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)Floating Required: YesUnit Specifics: Common Diagnosis - Stroke, altered mental status, renal, dialysis, COPD, CHF, isolation, general med surg, pneumonia, pulmonary issues.Specialty Equipment- IV pumps, N/G tubes, feeding tubesPatient Demographics: AdultsEMR Exp: EPIC*Responsibilities** Assess and monitor patients health status, including vital signs and medical history.* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.* Document patient care activities accurately in medical records using Athenahealth or similar systems.* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.* Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and recovery processes.* Manage acute pain effectively through appropriate interventions.* Ensure compliance with safety protocols within a Level II Trauma Center environment.* Assist in ventilating patients when necessary, ensuring proper respiratory support.* Support patients with developmental disabilities by providing tailored care approaches.* Participate in urgent care situations as needed, demonstrating quick decision-making skills.Job Types: Travel nursing, ContractPay: $2,500.00 - $2,506.00 per weekMedical Specialty:* Medical-Surgical* Surgery* TelemetryPhysical Setting:* Inpatient* TelehealthWork Location: In personby Jobble
