Job Description Summary
Current NYS RN License. Experience in a surgical practice
preferred. Must have at least three to five years' clinical
experience or equivalent combination of education, training. CPR/
BLS certifications are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
---Provides and assists physician(s) with triage of patients.
---Provides initial patient assessment and ensure that patient
information is available in the electronic health record (EHR) for
physicians.
---Performs and/or assists physicians with examinations,
procedures, and orders as required.
---Collects lab specimens and submits them for processing, as
required.
---Follows-up on all labs as required.
---Follow up on patients after procedures.
---Maintains and monitors approved standards of practice to ensure
that regular and special procedures are in a safe and competent
manner.
---Facilitates and coordinates patient and family education
regarding care and treatment programs, health choices, and other
factors to ensure compliance with treatment programs and/or prevent
illness or injury.
---Ensure quality initiatives and process improvements are
compliant.
---Keep up on and complete all CLIA/Joint Commission; weekly
monthly regulations
---Complete yearly modules and AMC competencies
---Complete daily logs, example: all Joint commission
regulations
