This internship offers an exceptional opportunity for a passionate student to apply Lean Six Sigma principles, value stream mapping, and waste elimination techniques in a real-world manufacturing setting. Job Summary: Peckham's paid Internship Program is designed to add practical, relevant experience to your field of study while welcoming you into our family by choice. As an Industrial Engineering Intern at Dailey Precast, you will work closely with our experienced engineering team to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes. You will play a crucial role in identifying areas for improvement, reducing waste, and enhancing overall efficiency within our production facilities. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process excellence. Enrollment in an accredited Industrial Engineering program (Bachelor's or Master's) is required for this internship opportunity.Only completed applications with all required attachments received by Monday, May 5, 2025, will be considered.Essential Functions: 1.Safety. Develop and recommend process improvement strategies to increase productivity and reduce costs.9.Assist in the implementation of Lean Six Sigma initiatives and projects.10.Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflow and labor utilization.11.Collect and analyze data to monitor the impact of process improvements.12.Assist in the development of standard work instructions and training materials.13.Respect and engage. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen events.14.Communicate. Present findings and recommendations to management and team members. Requirements, Education and Experience:Excellent Attendance and Punctuality. The program is scheduled to run ten weeks, Monday, June 2, 2025, through Friday, August 8, 2025, but can be flexible to the student's need. We may customize the dates according to your and/or your school's schedule.
