Product Design & Development Engineer

The Product Design & Development Engineer is responsible for:

• 
  
• Project manages new product developments from concept to commercialization.
  
• Create drawings, bills of material and process work instructions needed for production.
  
• Lead prototype build and test activities per established product development protocols.
  
• Work with operations team to identify design for manufacturability improvements and tooling/fixturing opportunities.
  
• Support technical sales with architected carwash tunnel & utilities layouts.
  
• Develop product enhancements addressing customer needs & market feedback
  
• Perform engineering analysis to support design optimization and cost reduction.
  
• Oversee product configuration control board activities and deliverables.
  
  We are looking for someone with:
  
  • 
    
  • BS degree in mechanical engineering.
    
  • A minimum of five (5) years working experience in project-based engineering functions.
    
  • CAD/3D modeling software experience (Solidworks experience a plus)
    
  • Experience with ERP software (Sage is preferred)
    
  • Finite element analysis (FEA) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) experience a plus.
    
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
    
  • Strong communication skills; Ability to interact at all levels of the organization
    
  • Detail, accuracy and discipline focus
