Academy of Science Charter School is excited to announce the
opening of a Behavior Specialist role for Junior-Senior High School
(Grades 6-12). We have a great environment for new staff, and we
encourage you to apply! We need a professional who will: ·
Consistently implement our code of conduct. · Train and educate all
stakeholders about the implementation of the student code of
conduct. · Be visible and accessible to the students and staff. ·
Analyze data to identify trends in behavior, make necessary
adjustments, and implement an action plan. · Identify students with
behavior and establish corrective plans for individuals or groups.
· Develop positive relationships with the students and parents to
foster a respectful and professional school environment. · Work
with school counselors and teachers collaboratively to develop and
help implement the RTI process for individuals or groups. · Support
and work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and parents
while demonstrating a professional manner. What we can provide ·

Bachelor's Degree Required · Experience with a diverse population
of students or in an urban setting a plus. · Fingerprint clearance
through NYS Department of Education Competencies: · Strong
organizational skills; attention to detail and follow-through. ·
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Strong
communication and negotiating skills. · Ability to work well in a
team. · Exceptional ability to bridge and enhance cooperative
working relationships. · Ability to create, monitor, and maintain
systems that enhance organizational efficiency. · Ability to thrive
in a fast-paced environment. · Maintain control in stressful
