Job Description Job Description About the Role: The Window Crew
Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all window
installation activities on construction sites, ensuring that
projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest
quality standards. This position requires managing a team of window
installers, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize
productivity and workmanship. The lead is responsible for
interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate
installation and adherence to building codes and safety
regulations. Additionally, the role involves collaborating closely
with project managers, suppliers, and other trades to maintain
project timelines and resolve any on-site challenges. Ultimately,
the Window Crew Lead ensures that all window installations
contribute to the overall success and structural integrity of the
construction project in Albany, ALB. Minimum Qualifications: High
school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years experience in
window installation within the construction industry. Proven
experience in a leadership or supervisory role on construction
sites. Strong knowledge of window installation techniques, tools,
and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and
technical drawings. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in
construction safety or OSHA training. Experience with
energy-efficient and specialty window installations. Familiarity
with project management software and scheduling tools. Valid
driver’s license and reliable transportation. Additional training
or certification in construction management or related fields.
Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the
window installation crew to meet project deadlines and quality
standards. Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and
specifications to plan and execute window installations accurately.
Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to enhance skills, safety
awareness, and productivity. Ensure compliance with all safety
protocols, building codes, and company policies on the job site.
Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and other
construction teams to schedule deliveries and resolve installation
issues. Inspect completed work to verify quality and adherence to
project requirements, making adjustments as necessary. Maintain
accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any
incidents or delays. Skills: The Window Crew Lead utilizes
technical skills daily to interpret blueprints and ensure precise
window placement, which is critical for structural integrity and
energy efficiency. Leadership and communication skills are
essential for effectively managing the crew, providing clear
instructions, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Problem-solving skills are frequently applied to address unexpected
challenges such as material shortages or site conditions. Safety
awareness and adherence to regulations are paramount, requiring the
lead to consistently monitor and enforce safety protocols.

schedules, manage resources, and maintain detailed records that
