Job Description Job Description Controller – Mining / Manufacturing (On-Site) Location: St. Lawrence County, NY Industry: Mining | Industrial | Manufacturing Compensation: ~$120,000 base 5–12% bonus Relocation Assistance Available Position Overview The Controller is a fully on-site, operational finance leader responsible for end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, and internal controls at the mine site. This is a newly created role with strong visibility and ownership, partnering closely with site leadership and corporate finance. A critical component of this role is ERP selection and implementation in a complex mining/manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead site accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close Own FP&A: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Cost accounting, inventory cycle counts, and capital project tracking Fixed asset capitalization and depreciation Support internal & external audits; manage SOX/internal controls Prepare financial statements and regulatory/compliance reporting Lead ERP system evaluation, selection, and implementation Partner cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications 5 years as a financial leader in mining, industrial, or manufacturing environments Strong experience with Excel (advanced) and QuickBooks Proven ERP implementation experience in complex operations FP&A, cost accounting, and capital project accounting expertise Knowledge of IFRS & U.S. GAAP , SOX/internal controls , tax & transfer pricing Authorized to work in the U.S. and work on-site in New York Preferred CPA designation Public company experience Why Join High-impact, newly created leadership role Long-term stability with a growing U.S. mining operation Competitive compensation bonus 5% employer 401(k) contribution (immediate vesting) Company-paid dental, vision, life insurance & short-term disability
