Job Description:

supports.The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for all
weekly and monthly Medicaid billing including troubleshooting
unpaid claims and eligibility. This role will have overall
responsibility for the accounts receivable functions for the
Agency. This includes responsibility for reconciling A/R related
accounts and/or providing supporting schedules for internal and
external requests.s responsible for all ARC's weekly and monthly
Medicaid billing including troubleshooting unpaid claims and
eligibility.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGenerate client billing from
our Electronic Health Record System, Medisked in a timely
manner.Monitor unbillable units and missed billing opportunities
and communicate to internal sources.Reconcile billable units to
general ledger balances.Apply payments to appropriate vendor and
general ledger accounts.Reconcile and process cash receipts.Verify
details of transactions, such as funds received and total account
balances.Prepare aging schedules with forecasted collections
including payment history, and actual cash collected.Compile and
sort documents, prepare and post invoices and credit and debit
memos.Serve as the primary point of contact between the Agency and
our clients/customers.Monitor Accounts Receivable aging including:
necessary follow up with payors, voids/adjustments, and
troubleshooting eligibility issues.Maintain accurate and updated
Medicaid billing rates, changes to billing regulations, and update
systems accordingly.Prepare monthly reconciliations to support
related GL balances.Ensure compliance with US GAAPAssist other
accounting team members to accomplish department goals and
objectives.Provide support for ad hoc projects.Uphold agency
mission, vision, and philosophy statements at all times.Ensure a
safe working environment by following all safety guidelines and
immediately reporting hazards.Other duties as assigned.Associate
degree in business or accounting required.Billing experience within
a human services organization preferred.Valid NYS driver's license
and reliable transportation requiredExtensive knowledge in MS Word,
